We are thrilled to announce the next exhibition at HHH gallery, the solo exhibition by Japanese artist Takeru Iwazaki who is based in Shizuoka. After growing up in rich natural environment in Shizuoka, Takeru started making his art under the influence of music club culture and street art, then he expanded his artistic activities to Tokyo and neighboring town through music and art. Takeru has been showing his art at his exhibition, mural painting, live painting and several commissioned projects.
Takeru’s meticulously detailed but unconstrained depiction drawn by simple drawing tool such as ballpoint pen contains openness of nature and density of crowded city as if representing the artist who goes back and forth between city and countryside.
At the new exhibition, Takeru will comprehensively show his style from old to new, with the selected past artworks and few new pieces.
City and nature, street culture and traditional culture, representational and abstraction, you will witness his inner realm generated from the crossing point of opposing wavelength.
